Christina Hollenback, Founder/CEO, Justice Capital and Joseph McNeil, General Manager of SAGE Development speak about how they are developing a wind farm for the Standing Rock Tribe where the tribe owns the wind farm and will be able to export energy to bring in a steady income. They have 100 percent governance of the wind farm which will help the tribe economically and the environmentlly.
“It’s a community driven project because of the IRA funding,” said McNeil.
The SAGE Development Authority (SAGE), a 100 percent Native-led organization, is dedicated to community development, institution-building, and self-determination for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. SAGE Development Authority exists to ensure energy independence, protect the environment, and promote economic growth in the region, for the Tribe.
Elected Officials to Protect America partnered with the Department of Energy (DOE) Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) office and the veteran owned business convening on November 15-16, 2023 in Washington D.C at their Summit. Focused on the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) implementation, the Summit highlighted the $369 billion in IRA funding, opportunities, criteria, and how to apply for the historic investment. SAGE presented at the EOPA Summit.
