City Councilman Eduardo Martinez and other Richmond City Council members including Gayle McLaughlin and environmental justice activist Andres Soto speak about the city’s history and the control of Chevron. Oil has been a part of the city since before it was incorporated. The local high school has “oilers” for their mascot.
