Danielle Adams, was the North Carolina Supervisor County Soil & Water from December 2008 to December 2020.

As she put it: “Our mission is to conserve, enhance and promote the natural resources of Durham County by providing technical assistance, environmental education information and economic incentives to County citizens and by exhibiting a diversified program to meet its changing needs.”

Danielle recently founded the Hemp Equity Network in 2019, which is a network aimed at providing agricultural and business resources and information to Black farmers in North Carolina interested in the hemp industry. She’s building a story library to document the experiences of Black farmers in NC. And works with stakeholders to create a collaborative of hemp retailers committed to equity and justice in the industry working around a shared vision of restitution and opportunity for historically marginalized and criminalized communities.
